PRETTY FUNNY

Well I managed to get down the coast on Tuesday thanks to Alex Leon & Andre Botha, It ended up being a very smart move as the waves were pumping. When we first arrived it was a little weird and windy but as the day went on it started to pump and everyone out there was absolutely ripping. I was pretty lucky aswell as I was the only person shooting for most of the time so pretty stoked with that.

SYDNEY #2

Crossing my fingers must of worked cause today the swell seemed to finally appear at Shark Island for the first round of the Shark Island Comp. There was some pretty sick waves coming through but it was pretty inconsistent, Chris James didn’t even manage to get a wave in his heat….I got some pretty cool shots but my stand outs would be a sequence of Bunting and one of my brother Nick. Not sure what going to be happening tomorrow but I’d say the comp won’t be running so might head down the coast but I’ll make an update tomorrow arvo sometime…Here’s some empties and a shot of Doug Showell..

SYDNEY #1

Last night I came down to Sydney for the Shark Island challenge, unfortunately the swell didn’t quite show up as expected earlier this morning so the comp was called off for the day. The forecast is still looking pretty good for tomorrow and the swell picked up this afternoon so fingers crossed. I shot a couple of photo’s out at Suck Rock this afternoon but didn’t really get anything out there. Still been fun to get away from the coast for a couple of days. I will update the the blog tomorrow with some more piccy’s….

NOT TOO MUCH GOING ON

First of all sorry for the lag on this blog but so far this winter has sucked pretty bad, We haven’t had any good waves here on the Goldy for…I don’t even know how long so it’s been a little bit hard to shoot any action, last waves I saw were at Dbah with one of the Harrington’s out there ripping. Other than that I did small shoot on the Sunshine Coast last week which went well, saw some pretty cool trees and sunset on the way aswell.

Last weekend I also shot photos for one of my good mates Greg Deeth at his wedding which was a little scary considering it was only the second I have ever shot one, I was pretty stoked on the outcome though. Oh yeah I got one my recent shots printed in big (110cm x 70 cm) frame for him, that was kind of hard to give away ha-ha!

Looks like i’m off to Sydney tomorrow night for the Shark Island Comp and hopefully some other waves, forecast is looking amazing!
