Got too see and shoot the last F-111 Dump and Burn over Surfers Paradise today, was pretty amazing at one stage (photo 3) it was no higher than 50 meters above the beach…you could feel the heat of it as it went past. All of these were shot on my new EOS 7D….whoever said it had “focusing issue” must have been using a different camera, it worked perfectly and had no problem tracking….don’t think many things go much faster than that….I will add some more shots in the next couple of days from the 7D…I have been trying it out all a heap of different conditions..If you want too see any of the shots bigger for a background or anything let me know..
Decided I would start to make some of my own wallpapers for your lovely computer screens. I’m not going to lie I did take the idea and sizes off the Transitsurf Site …but whats wrong with that, they do a damn good job at it. Anyway hopefully you enjoy them and I will work a making up a heap more when I get some spare time. In the mean time if you have any specific shots of mine you would like, just leave a comment below!

While photographically these shots defiantly aren’t up there with my best I just thought i’d show a big bushfire I was watching while I ate dinner last night. Its been buring for the last three days and it’s still burning tonight. Kinda cool with the plane in the top of the frame…
Had a pretty fun little session out on the Jetski with Matt Lackey the other day. We went and shot a couple of pretty solid empties at our local reef, Matt decided to take out his little handy cam and shoot aswell….he didn’t have a housing for the thing either! haha its pretty funny video. The photos and video don’t really show how big it was but it was pretty soild, anyway enjoy!
Just thought I’d show this. It’s a portrait I shot of Paul Roach when he was here a couple of months ago. For those of you who haven’t seen the new Riptide it got a small run but wasn’t run the way I have shown here (wasn’t even intended on getting run). Anyway it was shot on my Yashica 6×6 medium format film camera on Delta 400 Pro. I thought I’d just do a little bit of different composition work with it. First of all I dont really have any excuses for my laziness on this lately, so sorry!
For the last couple of weeks I have been doing some pretty different stuff, been shooting and designing alot of fashion “look books” and catalogs for some local fashion designers which had been something a bit different to the usual surf stuff.
I am also in the process of upgrading some gear aswell. I got a new Canon 50mm 1.4 on Friday and looks like I’ll be picking up a new Canon EOS 7D today sometime which is pretty exciting. Not sure if I mentioned it earlier but I picked up a Mamiya 645 (old medium format film) body with a 80 and 100mm lens the other week aswell and from what I have shot so far it’s pretty sick. Can’t really go wrong at $150.
